New Dealers in the BERNINA network
We are welcoming all the new BERNINA dealers into our dealer network. It is always exciting to give a warm BERNINA welcome to new dealers, because it means that the BERNINA Family is growing resulting in having more people to share our love for sewing with.

BERNINA BallitoProfile of a modern day quilter by Nadia Crous When my mom told me she started quilting as a hobby, I was stunned. I had always pictured quilters as “ou tannies” who look like the nice old lady on the Ouma rusks boxes - not my mother who had an illustrious corporate career in banking. To picture my mother in front of a sewing machine, was something that I could not wrap my head around. Not that my mom didn't know anything about sewing. Her mother was a seamstress, and had taught all her daughters the basics of sewing. That was transferred to me so technically I, my mom's IT child, was her first student! Later on there were many others in the Shelter for Abused Women in Kuwait. My mom had started off making small quilts for babies and using paper piecing to make animals which became a book for her first grandchild, Nina. In a relatively short space of time, she is now making the most beautiful quilts in any shape and size, one of which, I am proud to say, is gracing my bed right now. She says making quilts and giving them away is part of living her thankful life. And now my mom has found a way to marry her brilliant business mind and her love for quilting in Bernina Dolphin Coast. A place where beginners and experienced sewers and quilters are welcome and where customers are sure to become friends! Trust me, I know my mom! |
